Restoration of the old Stagecoach House in Porterdale, Georgia is complete. The year the house was built isn't known, as the house was built before Newton County existed. The data may exist in the Henry County records. The house was a stop for stagecoaches at one point in its history. The estimated build date is the 1820's, based on construction methods and documents. Wooden dowels were used to build the house instead of nails. This is a one of a kind home for the area.
